chatGPTはお手軽にいろんなことができ、非常に面白いですが、自分の大事な情報をOpenAI社にわたすことになってしまいます。
それを防ぐべく世の中のコンピューターに詳しい人は自分のコントロールできる範囲でAIを使おうとしています。
が使えるようになるまでには様々な面倒なことをしなくてはならず、かなり面倒でした。
今回紹介するGPT4ALLはChatGPTのようなAiをより簡単に使えるようにするプロジェクトです。

使い方
GPT4ALLのHPに行く
真ん中くらいにあるDownload Desktop Chat Clientから自分に合ったものを選択
ダウンロードしたものに従ってインストール
で完了する。
様々なモデルがある。開発者が違ったり、学習内容が違ったりすることで回答に差が出てくる。
今回筆者はgpt4all-falcon-q4_0.ggufを利用しようと思う。
ダウンロードはインストールしたGPT4ALLからでもできる。

インストールを押すと開始される。大きいのでちょっと待つ。

さてここまでやって、特にフリーズすることやクラッシュすることはなかった。
が、タスクマネージャでは常にメモリが16GBに張り付いていたのでこれ以上にメモリが必要なものを使いたい場合には少し考えなくてはいけない。

今回GPT4ALLをインストールしたのはただ遊びたかっただけでなく、Joplinと連携させるためだったので、次回以降Joplinと連携させて使った感想を書きたいと思う。
ちなみに今使っているが、非常に使い勝手は良い。
