ユーザーのデータは端末とクラウド間で暗号化されて送受信されます
MEGAの運営元を含め、ユーザー以外は暗号化されたデータにアクセスできません

これによりありとあらゆる違法アップロードの温床となっており、前のサービスは裁判沙汰にもなったりした。

Privacy, takedown, and enforcement

7. MEGA’s Privacy and Data Policy (the Policy) applies to your use of MEGA VPN. MEGA will not collect information or data about your browsing history, DNS queries or the time you spend on pages.
8. MEGA will collect and retain the following information concerning your use of the MEGA VPN:
8.1. IP addresses (both originating IP addresses and assigned VPN server IP addresses) and port information;
8.2. Times and dates of connection and access;
8.3. Bandwidth usage;
8.4. Other usage metadata; and
8.5. Account Data as described in clause 8.3 of the Policy (with the exception of information about your browser type which MEGA will not collect).
9. The information described in clause 8 above:
9.1. is collected, stored and processed by MEGA:
9.1.1. so that we can provide, manage, maintain and improve MEGA VPN;
9.1.2. to prevent service abuse;
9.1.3. to ensure our compliance with international regulatory requirements; and
9.1.4 to enforce these Terms (including as to bandwidth and device limits);
9.2. Will be treated in the same manner as Account Data is treated under our Policy.
10. MEGA’s Takedown Guidance Policy applies to your use of MEGA VPN. If MEGA becomes aware of any breach by you of these Additional VPN Terms or MEGA’s General Terms of Service, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your entire MEGA account and take any further steps provided for in MEGA’s Takedown Guidance Policy, Privacy and Data Policy and/or General Terms of Service.

MEGAのプライバシーおよびデータポリシー（ポリシー）は、MEGA VPNの使用に適用されます。MEGAは、ブラウジング履歴やDNSクエリ、ページ上での時間に関する情報を収集しませんが、以下の情報を収集・保持します：

- 発信元IPアドレスと割り当てられたVPNサーバーのIPアドレスおよびポート情報
- 接続およびアクセスの日時
- 帯域幅の使用量
- その他の使用メタデータ
- アカウントデータ（ブラウザの種類に関する情報を除く）

これらの情報は、以下の目的で収集・保存・処理されます：

- MEGA VPNの提供、管理、維持、改善
- サービスの不正使用の防止
- 国際的な規制要件の遵守
- 利用規約の実施（帯域幅やデバイス制限を含む）

MEGAは、これらのデータをアカウントデータと同様に取り扱います。

MEGAの削除ガイダンスポリシーもMEGA VPNの使用に適用されます。MEGAが追加のVPN利用規約や一般サービス利用規約の違反を知った場合、MEGAアカウントを一時停止または終了させる権利を保留し、必要に応じてタケダウンガイダンスポリシー、プライバシーおよびデータポリシー、または一般サービス利用規約に基づく追加措置を講じることがあります。
